The 1.8 GHz iMac G5 does not have an ambient light sensor or an iSight camera, but it heralds the end of the PowerPC Mac era all the same.

Quirks

  • The bottom right corner of the case doesn't stay in all the way. It is possible to push it in slightly when the computer is assembled.
  • Ejected CD-ROMs fall onto the floor.

History

  • 2020-05-26: The computer arrives at my parents' place from an eBay seller.
  • 2020-06-04: 📈 The RAM is upgraded to 2 GiB (0.25 -> 2).
  • 2020-08-??: The computer is transported to my apartment.
  • ????-??-??: 📈 The stock hard disk is replaced with a 300 GB one (80 -> 300).
