plc_orig_np
is intended to be a positive integer, but it can be zero or negative. Decimals, letters, or any other non-numeric character cause integer parsing to be cut off at that point. If the input is wholly non-numeric, the value is treated as zero. However, the whole string is still present in the output, saying, for instance, "3e11 NP to 6 NP", or "3.5 NP to 6 NP", or "abc NP to 0 NP".
I assume plc is short for Premium Lucky Charm.
