Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger runs nicely on it

The 800 MHz ATI Graphics eMac is more difficult than it should be to move around.

Don't install Mac OS 9.2.2 using the 2013 universal CD. Sleep won't work due to a lack of drivers, and the display will be quite shrunken. Instead, use the "drag and drop" System Folder.
The bottom right corner of the front bezel is popped out and refuses to pop back in, even when a 120-pound person sits on the computer. The only negative effect of this is loud noises from the speakers make the display vibrate.
It is possible to install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on this computer, though it is a bit of a pain to do so. You will need to dd the ISO to a flash drive, make Open Firmware lie about the processor speed, disguise the flash drive as the CD-ROM drive, and have the patience to watch Leopard install at USB 1.1 speeds.
